FLOWER SALE
MAY is the month for fresh, vibrant and patiently-anticipated Spring blooms. May also puts me in the mood for pastels, week-end gardening, basking in the warming sun rays, floral fabrics and soft colored gemstones. There is so much to choose from; sky blues like aquamarine, blue topaz or zircon, pale greens represented by fluorite, peridot or green garnet, all pink shades you can possibly imagine in the tourmaline or sapphire families, or if you choose the more exotic, morganite or kunzite. And then there is one of my favorites, a lilac colored amethyst or lavender jade. Combine those lovelies with a touch of diamonds or pearls and I am ready to swoon. These stones will slay any summer outfit and pop on white linen or black silk.
May has been newsworthy so far. The British royals have welcomed Archie to their extended family while the bookies are laughing over the lost name bets. Who saw that one coming? The Met Gala has kept us entertained .......celebrating Katy Perry's 40 pound chandelier dress and Kim Kardashian's curves squished into a pretzel corset. Both astonishing! Lady Gaga's three gown strip on the red carpet and Billy Porter's grand 'camp' entrance gave us a taste of what happens inside the Met that crazy Monday night. So now that all this is digested, we can move on and concentrate on our own events.
For Mother's Day and Graduations, all flower jewelry is on sale. Pick flower swing earrings, a rainlily flower pendant or a rose bracelet and give Mom a hug and a little box and watch her smile. Some of the best memories are associated with giving flowers so flower jewelry should really let MOM glow.
What else is trending for Spring/Summer wear? Chunky silver and gold necklaces of all sizes with multiple pendants or one big eye-catching pleaser.
